A direct path for transitioning completed, competitive DoD prototype efforts in AI, digital, and data.
The Prototype Transition (PT) Aisle was established by the DoD Chief Digital and AI Office to help transition completed, competitively awarded prototype projects awarded under the DoD Prototype Other Transaction authority (10 USC 4022) which employed competitive procedures, into follow-on production. The PT Aisle supports the broader goal of maximizing the impact and use of successful DoD prototyping efforts within the DoD’s AI, digital and data priorities.

How to Submit to the PT Aisle:
Login or Create Account
Upload Solution
Complete Submission
Visit the Tradewinds Submission Portal for Vendors.
Log into your account (create one if you do not already have access).
Once in your account, select “New Prototype Transition Aisle Submission" as your submission type.
Be sure to include the following:

The prototype was competitively awarded under Other Transaction authority

The effort was successfully completed
Compliance Review
Prototype Transition (PT) Aisle submissions follow a different process than other solutions in the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace. While most Marketplace submissions are assessed under the requirements of 10 USC 4021, 10 USC 4022, 10 USC 3458, FAR/DFARS Part 35, and DFARS Subpart 212.70, PT Aisle solutions have already satisfied competition requirements under 10 USC 4022. Because of this, they do not need to undergo an additional assessment.

Instead, PT Aisle submissions are reviewed for compliance to ensure that each submission meets all requirements of the TSM Announcement and is properly prepared for potential follow-on production awards in the future.

Compliance checks are typically completed within three business days of submission, although reviews may take longer during periods of high volume. If a submission is incomplete, inconsistent, noncompliant with submission criteria, or includes inappropriate markings, the submitting entity will be notified in writing and given the opportunity to revise and resubmit for consideration.
